A large selection of Artisinal Breads, including beer bread sticks from grains and beer we obtain from our friends at Catawba Valley Brewery, farm made croissants, apple and fruit rustic tarts, veggie lasagna, eggplant Parmesan and quiche made with our farm fresh eggs are all regular staples, along with our pasture raised St. Croix lamb and pork selections. Visit our booth on most Saturdays from 8:00 AM until noon. |
Millstone Meadows Farm, nestled in the NC foothills outside of Morganton, is a Pre-Civil War farm featuring a beautiful log farmhouse that includes the original two room cabin as the foundation of the structure. Owners Mark and Sara Hord are now managing the farm, featuring an enormous daylily display garden that includes over 1300 AHS recognized cultivars. We also grow a variety of culinary herbs, cut flowers, heirloom tomatoes and other garden vegetables, all using organic methods and fertilizing. Millstone Meadows Farm's 35 acres is available for special events such as farm weddings, wedding receptions, dinner events, luncheons, garden club gatherings and tours. A culinary chef, Sara also offers gourmet catering both on and off premise and regularly features her many products, such as fresh baked breads, locally grown fruit and vegetable tart/pies, complete gourmet-to-go meals and more through Millstone Meadows Farm Catering, We also have a new wine tasting room, Millstone Provisions, at 207 S. Sterling Street in downtown Morganton, where we host wine events featuring a wide variety of wines from around the world. Featured wineries, wines from Italy, France, California and other themes make for fun events with good information and discounted wines! Ask about our Wine and Dinner club featuring the best Private Dining in the Foothills! A Daylily Festival is hosted in June during the peak daylily bloom season. The public is welcome to visit during the summer bloom months and enjoy food, festivities and flowers. Daylilies are for sale as well as other farm products all summer.
